“I couldn't do a painting of the bay and not dive in to paint the lighthouses.  Poolbeg sits proudly at the end of the Bull Wall on the south side of the bay.  I wanted to capture the sunset as one looks back into the city.  The chimneys frame the piece nicely and I really like the hue off the rocks.  They seem to ground the lighthouse nicely into the sea. ”
